About This Event

Built by the Pullman Company in 1923, the B&O No. 3528 started as a standard heavyweight passenger coach and was upgraded in 1937 with reclining chairs and air conditioning. After being streamlined in 1947, it served on the flagship Royal Blue Line connecting Washington, DC, and New York City, and remained in service until 1983 as the last commercial passenger car on former-B&O lines. Tours are available 10 AM – 4 PM with docent guides answering questions about the rail car's history. Please note: This tour requires climbing stairs and walking on uneven pathways, with a virtual tour available via QR code. Small children must be accompanied by an adult.
