About This Event
There are two big events celebrating Baltimoreโs beloved, hard-working Mr. Trash Wheel, and Waterfront Partnership โs Healthy Harbor Initiative wants to spread the word. Mr. Trash Wheelโs Earth Day Birthday celebration takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 , from 6โ9 p.m. at the Public Works Experience. This annual fete honors Baltimoreโs favorite trash-eating water wheel with an evening of art, music, and fun right on the waterfront. Trash Wheel fan art selfie! Photo from Mr. Trash Wheel Facebook page. This yearโs birthday event will have a fan art gallery with creative tributes to Mr. Trash Wheel and a lively outdoor lawn party. Interactive activities celebrating sustainability and the company of fellow Mr. Trash Wheel fans will make it a wheely memorable tribute to our googly-eyed environmentalist! Those in attendance will also catch a Special Advance Screening of the โMr. Trash Wheel (Hero of the Harbor)โ music video , offering an exclusive first look before the public release. Mr. Trash Wheel Fans still have the chance to get in on the video action, though, because the final music video shoot has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 4 p.m. outside the Maryland Science Center. Supporters should wear Trash Wheel gear and costumes to help create a high-energy crowd scene as the featured band, The Lost Pythons , performs its original song. Captain Trash Wheel? Is that you? Photo from Mr. Trash Wheelโs Facebook page. Mr. Trash Wheelโs extended family includes Professor Trash Wheel (huge Beyonce fan) in Canton, Captain Trash Wheel (likes bird watching) in Masonville Cove, and Gwynnda the Good Wheel of the West (BIG fan of anything purple and Ouija boards) in Gwynns Falls. For more than a decade, The Trash Wheel Family has spearheaded environmental victories, including the ban of polystyrene containers and single-use plastic bags across Baltimore City and County. Since Mr. Trash Wheel has made the Inner Harbor his home in 2014, he and his growing family have removed more than 3,681 tons of trash and debris from entering Baltimoreโs waterways. That is some serious trash talk! People interested in signing up to appear in the video and/or buying tickets to Mr. Trash Wheelโs Earth Day Birthday celebration can use this link . Ticket proceeds will be used to support the Healthy Harbor Initiativeโs year-round programs. Early-bird registration ticket prices ($50) are available until March 20, 2026, and after that tickets will be $55.
