Patterson Park Historical Walking Tour
About This Event
Join Baltimore Heritage for a walking tour through Patterson Park and through time, starting from when it was officially created in 1827. Discover how the park saw action defending Baltimore during the War of 1812 and how troops stationed there ensured Maryland didn't secede during the Civil War. Learn about the park's evolution from 6 acres to 137 acres, partially thanks to the famous Olmsted Firm, and explore its many uses including strolling, fishing, hockey, swimming, festivals, and more.
