About This Event

The 14 th annual Annapolis Film Festival will take place over four days and multiple locations around the city, from Thursday, March 26 through Sunday, March 29, 2026. This year’s theme is β€œThe Heartbeat of Film,” with a focus on all the ways in which cinematic storytelling helps us relate to our humanity and reflects the world around us. Annapolis Film Festival All films, events, and panels will take place across five venues in Annapolis, including The Graduate Annapolis, Maryland Hall–Main Auditorium & Bowen Theaters, Asbury United Methodist Church, St. John’s College’s Key Auditorium & Mellon Lobby, and Ramshead Onstage. The festival opens Thursday evening with the film β€œPower Ballad,” starring Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas at Maryland Hall, followed by an Opening Night After Party held at the Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium at 10 p.m. The weekend is filled with films that showcase the Black experience, religion, Latino/a life in America, and stories about the reality of gun culture for high school students in the United States. Genres span documentary, comedy, drama, film shorts, and more. Mornings will feature coffee talks; panel discussions will have directors, actors, and other film participants; and special events include parties and even competitions like Saturday’s Shorts Challenge. Prices for ticket packages vary. The lowest-priced deal is a six-ticket pack costing $100 and including access to six screenings or panels. Student passes cost $125 and include unlimited films and panels, the opening night film and after party, and priority entry for sold-out shows. On the higher end, the Blue Festival Pass costs $200 and includes the same thing as the student pass, but for non-students ( Annapolis Film Society members receive a discount).
